Certifications and Policies

Clear-pak holds all the certifications you would expect a modern Packaging Company to have, including Quality Management (ISO 9001), OH&S Policy & Programme, HACCP and APCO member, Food Safety Policy and Program and Environmental Policy & Programme.

ISO 9001

Clear-pak has held ISO 9001:2008 accreditation since our formation in 2006. This ensures that we operate our business on a sound management system, and always strive for continuous improvement across our business.

OH&S Policy

Following an extensive audit and implementation process in 2008, Clear-pak  adheres to a comprehensive OH&S programme involving ongoing audits and risk assessments. Workplace Health and Safety  is always of the utmost importance to us and is never compromised.

Food Safety Policy

As many of our customers use our packaging for food products, we have a Food Safety Policy and Programme ensuring that all our products and processes are suitable for direct contact with food when necessary. All our raw materials are certified for direct contact with food

Environmental Policy and Programme

Clear-pak follows a rigorous Environmental Programme to ensure that we minimise any impact our packaging and manufacturing process may have on the environment. All our materials are recyclable and some contain recycled content. We know how important sustainability is to you and your customers, and we share your respect for the environment.

HACCP

Our HACCP system and plan is in place to ensure food safety by identifying and controlling potential hazards at every stage of production. It helps us maintain consistent quality, meet regulatory requirements and protect customers by preventing risks before they occur.

APCO Member

With APCO membership we demonstrate our commitment to responsible packaging. It ensures we meet environmental standards, improve recyclability and reduce packaging impact, supporting sustainable practices and compliance with Australia’s national packaging targets.

Sustainability

Children learn about protecting the environment at school, and governments are legislating for a greener world. Consumers are now actively seeking more packaging and sustainability solutions and looking for recycling logos on packaging.

Today, sustainable food packaging is a must. Tomorrow, it may be about the sustainability of your business. Clear-pak Australia seeks to be a leader in developing and promoting more recyclable plastic packaging and reusable plastic packaging – from raw materials to the point of sale.

Clear-PET® recycled PET

When we were first asked about recycled raw materials, the challenge was to find a material that was both fabricable and of equal or better quality than what was currently being used. The result was PET material made from recycled plastic water bottles, an excellent example of the intersection of packaging and sustainability.

Introducing

  • High impact strength
  • Scratch resistant
  • Perfect for printing
  • Food grade
  • Helps companies move toward their sustainable food packaging goals
  • Appropriate recycle logo can be placed on packaging so consumers can make educated decisions about their purchases
  • Extrusion methods save energy, and natural resources, and encourage the recycling of bottles and plastic packaging

A great recyclable alternative

If certain materials and production processes are used, recyclable plastic packaging becomes a sustainable alternative. By placing the appropriate recycle logos on the packaging, the environmental credentials of the product are communicated to the customer. This ultimately encourages the growth, recycling, and reuse of plastic products while emphasizing the importance of packaging and sustainability.

Adding the appropriate recycle logo to the packaging can be done by printing or embossing. This ensures the product is directed to the correct recycling stream, supporting sustainable food packaging design and promoting environmental awareness.

Green and Clean

Clear-pak Australia has implemented and Environmental Policy, guided by AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 (Australian & New Zealand Environmental Standard).

Most materials used in the manufacture of our products are 100% recyclable (if printed or embossed with the appropriate recycle logo). All production processes are energy-efficient, and all factory waste is recycled using approved waste recycling streams. Clear-pak continually assesses its impact on the environment and improves processes, prioritizing packaging and sustainability at every step.
